Burkina Faso/Captain Ibrahim Traoré : A new era of air defense begins with pilots ready to counter terrorism !

One of the first advancements made by Captain Ibrahim Traoré upon his accession to power was the rearmament of the Burkinabe armed forces. Thanks to this strengthening, numerous achievements have been accomplished in the fight against terrorism. However, he does not stop there.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré did not merely reinforce the material resources of the army. The combat forces of Burkina Faso have also benefited from qualitative enhancement, notably with the training of fighter pilots now ready for action. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, these pilots are now operational to conduct air offensives and counter-offensives, marking a new era in the country’s defense strategy.

This reinforcement of aerial capabilities represents a major asset in the fight against terrorism, allowing the Burkinabe armed forces to effectively counter the massive or isolated attacks of terrorist groups. The effectiveness of this new air force was recently demonstrated during intense combat in Pensa, Natiaboani, Kongoussi, Ouahigouya, and Tankoualou.

In Tankoualou, in the Eastern region, fighter pilots played a decisive role in neutralizing terrorists who threatened the local military base. Thanks to targeted strikes from the air, the armed forces successfully repelled the enemy assault, thus illustrating the added value of this new offensive capability.

This strategic development underscores Burkina Faso’s resolute commitment to strengthening its national security and protecting its citizens against the terrorist threat. With fighter pilots ready to intervene at any moment, the country is equipping itself with an essential tool to address current and future security challenges, affirming its determination to ensure stability and peace in the region.

Burkina Faso is thus taking a proactive stance in the fight against terrorism under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Head of State, President of the Burkinabe Revolution. This position, moreover, paves the way for a more secure future for the Burkinabe people and their neighbors.
