Burkina Faso: Government strengthens Food Security by destroying 60.000 eggs unfit for consumption

A joint operation conducted on Wednesday, February 28th, between the General Directorate of Veterinary Services (DGSV) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Resources, and Fisheries, and the National Gendarmerie, attests to this commitment, with the seizure and destruction of over 60.000 eggs unfit for consumption in Ouagadougou.
The Director General of Veterinary Services, Dr. Rassablaga Dominique Sawadogo, emphasizes that these eggs, originating from a neighboring country, were a blatant violation of Burkinabe legislation. Their destruction 424aims to protect the national poultry herd and preserve public health.
This resolute action highlights the importance of surveillance and rigorous enforcement of regulations to ensure the quality and safety of food products in Burkina Faso.
