Burkina Faso : Imminent Final victory against terrorism Under the Presidency of Captain Ibrahim Traoré

Recent developments on the fronts of the fight against terrorism in Burkina Faso offer a glimmer of hope for the population as the combat forces under the supreme command of President Ibrahim Traoré crush terrorists in several locations across the country.

This Friday, several dozen terrorists were crushed during strikes conducted by the Burkinabe army in Touka, in the Dori area (Séno). This bold operation was followed by further successes of the combat forces in the areas of Barsalgho (North-Central) and the Nouaho forest (East-Central). These victories demonstrate the determination and effectiveness of the Burkinabe Defense and Security Forces in the fight against terrorism.

On March 8, 2024, on this International Women’s Rights Day, the Burkinabe army intensified its efforts to secure the territory and allow displaced persons, mainly women, to return home safely. In Touka, in the Dori area, the armed forces spotted a gathering of terrorists preparing an attack. Aerial vectors quickly reacted by launching a missile to neutralize the terrorists, thus putting an end to their evil plan.

In a series of coordinated operations, the combat forces also repelled several terrorist assaults across the territory. In Barsalgho, in the North-Central region, around a hundred assailants were heading towards Wambsouya to launch an imminent attack.

However, thanks to the vigilance of the security forces, these criminals were annihilated before they could even execute their plan. Similarly, in the East-Central zone, terrorists were decimated as they planned an attack in the Nouaho forest.

These recent successes testify to the significant progress made by Burkina Faso in its fight against terrorism. Under the presidency of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the country is nearing its final victory against this insidious threat.
