Burkina Faso : Captain Ibrahim Traoré urges combat forces in the central-east to strengthen initiatives for their security and that of the population

During his visit to the Central-East region last week, the President of the Burkinabé Revolution and Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, expressed his congratulations and encouragement to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) stationed in Tenkodogo as well as to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) engaged in the fight against terrorism.

In a speech marked by recognition and determination, the Head of State praised the victories achieved while highlighting the persistent challenges. “The war is not yet over” ,he reminded, emphasizing the need to remain vigilant and committed to ensuring the security of the population.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré encouraged the combat forces to strengthen their defense and self-defense techniques, stressing the importance of sharing experiences and initiatives within different units. He urged everyone to play their role with determination, emphasizing that protecting the homeland is a collective responsibility.

Aware of the difficulties faced by the combat forces, the Transitional President pledged to provide appropriate and swift solutions. He called for unity and determination in pursuing the common goal: ensuring the security and stability of Burkina Faso.

This visit highlighted the government’s firm commitment to support and strengthen initiatives for the defense of the homeland, while recognizing the crucial role of combat forces in preserving national peace and security.
