Mali/Counterterrorism : Several terrorists neutralized and significant equipment destroyed
The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) continue their operations of retaliation, reconquest of territory, and offensive reconnaissance throughout Mali, especially in areas threatened by armed terrorist groups.
In a statement dated Wednesday, April 3rd, the military hierarchy announced another victory for its combat forces against the enemies. Indeed, the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Armed Forces reported that several terrorists were neutralized in certain localities in the Mopti region, in central Mali.
Based on reliable and precise intelligence regarding the presence of criminals on Tuesday, April 2nd, Malian air units were mobilized in Lemeb and the Douna area (Douentza). Several precise airstrikes by Malian forces resulted in several enemy casualties and the destruction of a significant amount of war materials belonging to these criminals, according to the statement.
This occasion allowed the military hierarchy to reassure the Malian people of the commitment and determination of the FAMa to fulfill their noble mission of securing the territory, populations, and their property.
According to reports, this latest feat by the brave Malian soldiers occurred just days after the destruction by FAMa aerial assets of a suspicious vehicle belonging to unidentified armed groups, near the Shipwreck, Timbuktu, in the locality of Bamba, Bourem Circle, Gao region.
