Burkina Faso: Five new ambassadors accredited to Faso present their credentials to President Traoré.

Burkina Faso has just strengthened its diplomatic relations with 5 countries around the world, for beneficial cooperation on several levels, particularly in terms of security. These are Denmark, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Bangladesh, Russia and Mali. These countries have accredited their ambassadors to Faso.They were received this Friday, November 25 late morning at the presidency of Faso by the President of the transition Ibrahim Traoré who makes the reconquest of the entire Burkinabe territory his hobbyhorse.

His Excellency Kristian Kirkegaard EDINGER, is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark. He was the first to present his credentials to the President of the Transition.Mr. EDINGER previously worked as Special Envoy for the Sahel in Africa since February 2019, after having held several senior positions in his country and in diplomatic missions including Bolivia, Benin and Belgium. The representative of the Kingdom of Denmark will reside in Ouagadougou. Denmark is a country in Northern Europe and Scandinavia.

Mali (West African state, and neighboring country of Burkina Faso) has accredited His Excellency Issouf Oumar MAIGA as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mali to Burkina Faso. Issouf Oumar MAIGA plans to deepen cooperation between his country and Burkina Faso, in order to curb terrorism, which remains a common concern of both States.

His Excellency Georges TERNES is the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Burkina Faso. The Luxembourg diplomat will reside in Dakar, Senegal. He has already held the position of Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of his country in Burkina Faso from 2012 to 2016, holding himself a Master’s degree in Business Management.

The People’s Republic of Bangladesh is represented in Burkina Faso by an army officer. His Excellency General Shamim-Uz-ZAMAN who will reside in Tripoli, Libya. Major General of his country’s army, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has a Master’s degree in Defence Studies and Science.

The last Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to present his credentials to the Head of State of Faso is the Russian diplomat, Alexey SALTYKOV. The Ambassador of the Russian Federation will be resident in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. It intends to work to strengthen political, economic, scientific, cultural and military cooperation with Burkina Faso.Alexey SALTYKOV has already put his diplomatic skills at the service of Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Chad, Mali, Namibia and Kenya.
