Burkina Faso/Counter-terrorism: Fighters catch big fish in the forest
One way to describe two significant terrorists for terrorist armed groups, neutralized by fighters, are Idrissa Diallo alias Abou Youssoufa, a major recruiter of terrorists in the Center-East region, and another notorious criminal who spread terror in the Banwa province, Boucle du Mouhoun region.The fighting forces in Burkina Faso deserve encouragement for their exploits on the battlefield.
Without relenting, they continue their noble mission with determination and success, to reclaim the entirety of their national territory and to end terrorism in the country. In doing so, they are gradually creating a significant void within these groups of criminals.
According to security sources reported by AIB, the criminal Idrissa Diallo alias Abou Youssoufa, originally from Guildjèga, Bittou commune, Boulgou province, Center-East region, joined the Forces of Evil in 2018 in the Soudougui forest. He later settled in the Nouaho/Bittou forest, then in the Hourtougou/Bané forest, from where he carried out his diabolical mission against the Burkinabe people.
While this criminal is known to be a key figure in recruiting terrorists for the terrorist bases in the East and Center-East, several attacks and village displacements are also attributed to him. Fortunately, thanks to the bravery and professionalism of the fighting forces, he is now deprived of his freedom.
As for the second terrorist, who operated in Banwa, he was neutralized and his weapons recovered by a combat unit including VDP from Solenzo, during the night from Saturday, April 20 to Sunday, April 21, 2024. According to security sources, the terrorist had been sought since his last attack on April 11 against a “Dina” transport vehicle heading for Solenzo, injuring a passenger.
