Africa: When a French Army general advocates a new colonization of Africa with weapons in hand

Africa is not poor. It has vast resources to feed, care for, educate and employ its children, but it is unable to recover from centuries of exploitation. After the slave trade and colonization, ruling clans, foreign states and multinationals confiscated its sovereignty, fanned deadly conflicts and shamelessly plundered its resources.

In the face of this legacy that many countries unfortunate enough to have been colonized by France still carry today, a number of them have set their sights on breaking free from the shackles of colonization to achieve sovereignty worthy of the name. Such is the case of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.

Faced with this clear desire for change, which calls into question all paternalism, the neo-colonialists have no intention of standing idly by.  They plan to return to Africa with arms in hand, if need be, to complete the criminal work that their ancestors began and to which they are heirs. This is what can be understood from the incongruity of this French general, who is currently making the rounds on social networks.

In short, France’s position is that « countries once colonized must remain colonized in one way or another ». Proxy wars in countries rich in mineral resources, the CFA franc, a symbol par excellence of hostage-taking of a country’s economy, the invasion of African countries by French multinationals – the examples are legion when it comes to French imperialism.

Just as a deer cannot beg for mercy from a lion, or the lion will starve to death, it’s the same way that African countries cannot beg for mercy from Western countries: their survival depends on it.

It’s up to each state to take these steps to avoid being crushed by the powers that be. Of course, individual countries cannot do much against the imperialist steamroller, hence the need for a confederation of states.
