Burkina Faso: Head of State Ibrahim Traoré decides to restore the country’s dignity
The security situation in Burkina Faso has been marked by terrorist attacks since 2015 in several regions of Burkina Faso. These attacks have claimed many lives and thousands of internally displaced people, according to official figures.
Faced with this situation, it is therefore the responsibility of the Head of State to restore the dignity of the country by restoring the SDF, the main symbol of sovereignty.
First, the President of the Transition, His Excellency, Ibrahim Traoré decided to renounce his salary as head of state and keep his salary as captain of the Burkinabe army, in order to “show this spirit of sacrifice that must inhabit each Burkinabe in the current situation of our country,” according to the government spokesman, Mr. Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo.
Inherited from a country that has fallen to shreds following terrorist attacks since 2015, President Ibrahim Traoré has set himself the main mission of undertaking major reforms in favour of the SDF. Aware that the sovereignty of a State is partly explained by its power of coercion and legitimate force, the Head of State has the day after taking office initiated major actions for the benefit of the mission of the SDF.
These actions aim to provide the country with a republican, professional, well-trained and well-equipped army. In a word, a garrison army, close to the population in accordance with the vision of His Excellency Ibrahim Traoré.
But, the President of Burkina Faso, as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces by his vision of great UNIFYING, is putting an end to what was decried by all. Certainly, there are still challenges to be met, but the Burkinabe people in particular, and the African people in general, are witnessing all the good actions already carried out by President Traoré for peace, stability and development of the country of honest men.
