Niger: The CNSP Mobilizes the People to stay the course for the comprehensive sovereignty of the country

For a while now, civil society organizations have been holding numerous meetings with the people to express their support for the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Nation (CNSP). It is also about revitalizing the people to maintain the same fervor as at the beginning of the CNSP’s assumption of power and to voice their opinions on current issues.

Thus, this Sunday, May 5th, in Dosso, civil society organizations organized a popular meeting to express the support of various socio-professional groups and the population for the CNSP and the transitional government as a whole.

In a statement released on this occasion, the regional president of the support committee, Mr. Hassane Zada Bagué, indicated that this large mobilization is in line with the firm commitment of the people to support and accompany the CNSP in its resolute march for the total sovereignty of Niger and the fulfillment of its people.

It is evident that the CNSP’s assumption of power has given the people a renewed sense of hope. Thus, the population of Dosso, aware of the challenges and stakes surrounding issues of sovereignty, security, dignity, and development, now knows its role in the nation-building alongside the authorities. They unequivocally approve the various policies initiated and implemented by the CNSP and the government for the sole benefit of Niger.

Upon their return, the people of Dosso demanded the withdrawal of Niger from American military bases. The Dosso region strongly reaffirms the people’s recognition of the CNSP for choosing Dosso to host an oil refinery, which will enable the region to be a true driver of development.

As a reminder, the CNSP terminated military cooperation with the United States, a decision that has received the approval of Nigeriens concerning all agreements that maintain the country in the yoke of servitude.
