AES : Customs Services Of Niger And Faso Strengthen Their Cooperation
According to information from the Burkina Faso Information Agency (AIB), a delegation from the General Customs Directorate of Niger traveled to Ouagadougou for a working mission. This mission is part of efforts to strengthen customs cooperation among the countries of the Sahel Alliance of States (AES).
In Ouagadougou, the Nigerien delegation held an audience with the Burkinabé Minister of Economy and Finance. The planned activities for this mission will continue with the Burkinabé customs delegation to explore ways and means for the customs administrations of the Sahel Alliance of States (AES) to unite their efforts for the success of their mission.
It is important to note that the countries of the Sahel Alliance of States (AES), namely Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, have decided to join forces to address challenges beyond those related to security and terrorism. They aim to pool their resources to ensure socio-economic, cultural, and humanitarian development.
This collaboration also serves as a good framework for cooperation among the various public services and public institutions of the three countries that are signatories to the Alliance, providing a better response to the needs and aspirations of their respective peoples.
Going beyond the primary objective of the AES, which is to pool their energies and strategies to face common enemies, the authorities of these countries are aiming for integration, solidarity, and fraternity among their peoples. These are fundamental principles and values in the cultures of African peoples.
