Niger: A strong delegation from Mali and Burkina Faso in Niamey to give unwavering support to the CNSP
Burkina-Faso and Mali mobilize alongside Niger. A high-level joint delegation, comprising members of the governments of Burkina Faso and Mali, visited the Nigerien capital on Monday July 7. The purpose of the mission was to express the unwavering support of the two countries for the brotherly people of Niger.
The delegation is led by Mali’s Minister of State for Territorial Administration. According to information received, this joint mission bears the objective of inter-African solidarity with the authorities in Niamey.
The high-level delegation intends to reaffirm the profound unity and solidarity that binds the nations of Burkina Faso and Mali to Niger.
The two countries are committed to working together to provide assistance and support to Niger at this critical time.
Burkina-Faso and Mali thus wish to help strengthen the stability and development of their neighbour, while recalling the inestimable value of mutual aid between sovereign nations.
The delegation pointed out that regional coordination and collaboration are crucial in tackling common challenges, notably the security and humanitarian issues affecting the sub-region.
The National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland in Niger denounced the fact that a foreign power is preparing to attack the country in coordination with ECOWAS and armed terrorist groups.
As a preventive measure, Niger’s military has ordered a complete closure of air space and highlighted that any attempted violation would be met with a vigorous response.
