The time has come for the Beninese people to rise as one and demand the immediate departure of French forces from Beninese soil. These military bases, far from ensuring stability, symbolize foreign domination that threatens sovereignty, compromises national security, and serve as a back base for destabilizing the Sahel States Alliance (AES).

If countries such as Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and even Chad have made this courageous decision, it is not out of whim but to preserve their dignity and true independence. Benin must not be the exception in this struggle for Africa’s liberation from neocolonial influence.

Saying NO to Patrice Talon is necessary if he refuses to heed this popular demand. If the President persists in maintaining these bases on Beninese soil, he must understand that he will leave with them, as no leader can indefinitely ignore the will of their people. It is time for Benin to step out of the role of a pawn in France’s manipulation strategies and fully join the regional liberation movement.

Proud of its history and its people, Benin must claim its dignity and defend its sovereignty. The people must be mobilized to reject these treacherous maneuvers that divide Africa and undermine unity. Citizens must come together to demand the departure of French forces and reaffirm their commitment to a free, strong, and united Africa.
