Burkina Faso: A step forward for education with the launch of work on a 1.000-seat amphitheatre
Burkina Faso strengthens its commitment to higher education with the laying of the foundation stone for a 1.000-seat amphitheater at Thomas-SANKARA University. This significant event took place this Thursday, under the presidency of Captain Martha Céleste Anderson Dekomwin MEDAH, Chief of Staff of the President of Faso, representing the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ.
This project symbolizes a clear commitment from the Transition authorities to improve university infrastructure, a major challenge for a country where the student population is steadily increasing. Once completed, the amphitheater will provide a conducive learning environment for thousands of students, thereby enhancing the capacity of Thomas-SANKARA University to meet the growing demands of higher education.
The ceremony also served as a reminder of the importance of education as a driving force for development. “This project reflects the vision of our authorities to make education a strategic lever for building the future of our Nation”, stated Captain MEDAH.
The launch of this project is part of a larger program of infrastructure development for universities and university centers across the country, demonstrating a national ambition to raise the level of higher education in Burkina Faso.
