Burkina Faso: Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt elevated to the rank of knight of the Order of the Stallion
The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ibrahim Abdelazim El Khouli, was elevated to the rank of Knight of the Order of the Stallion in Burkina Faso at a ceremony in Ouagadougou, marking the end of his mission in the country.
This honour is the highest in Burkina Faso and recognizes El Khouli’s service to the Burkinabe nation during his three years as ambassador.
Under his leadership, cooperation between Burkina Faso and Egypt was strengthened, particularly in the areas of education, health, defence and security. He has contributed to the increase in scholarships and internships offered in Burkina Faso, as well as to the improvement of health care, particularly in the fields of traumatology and neurosurgery. Egypt also supported Burkina Faso in the context of current security challenges.
To further strengthen cooperation, Burkina Faso plans to organize economic and cultural days with Egypt in November 2023, and the holding of the 3rd session of the cooperation commission between the two countries is envisaged. At the end of his mission, Ambassador El Khouli expressed his satisfaction with his collaboration with Burkina Faso and the Arab Republic of Egypt is committed to further strengthening this cooperation for the benefit of the people.
