Burkina Faso: Assailants and stolen tankers targeted by air strikes in the central- East
In Burkina Faso, airstrikes targeted tanks stolen by assailants and stationed in their bases.
Over the past weekend, a group of attackers stole two fuel tanks to refuel their vehicles.
The armed forces then launched an operation to search for the troublemakers. They finally located their base in the forest of Kankanmogré (Central-Eastern region of the country) before pulverizing them, according to the Burkina News Agency.
Still in the same region, precisely in the Yaktibo area, the Burkinabe armed forces neutralized around fifty terrorists specializing in cattle rustling, continues the AIB.
Thanks to aerial support, the military located another group of terrorists, numbering around a hundred, sheltering from the rain under trees in the Minima area near Bourzanga and Kongoussi, and neutralized them with air strikes.
Despite various attempts to defame the Burkinabe army, the fighting forces do not appear to be demotivated.
On the contrary, they continue with vigor the operations initiated in several areas of the country in order to overcome jihadist violence and reclaim the entire national territory.
