Burkina Faso / Captain Ibrahim Traoré: A blessing for the land of Integral People

Since his arrival in the presidency, Captain Ibrahim Traoré has established himself as a charismatic and determined leader, guiding Burkina Faso through immense challenges and bringing about notable transformations. In less than two years, his government has not only managed to counter terrorist threats but also achieved remarkable economic growth.

Under Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s presidency, Burkina Faso has intensified its fight against terrorism, a scourge that had been destabilizing the country. Despite the enormous resources required for this war, President Ibrahim Traoré has managed to balance security and economic priorities, demonstrating strategic vision and exemplary resilience.

The numbers speak for themselves. According to the Ministry of Economy, Burkina Faso achieved a growth rate of 3.6% in 2023, a significant improvement compared to 1.8% in 2022. This progress was made despite external and internal shocks, reflecting the robustness of the economic reforms initiated by Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

Moreover, inflation has drastically decreased, dropping from 14.1% in 2022 to just 0.7% at the end of 2023. This dramatic decrease in inflation has had a direct impact on the purchasing power of Burkinabe citizens, improving their quality of life and consolidating confidence in Traoré’s leadership.

For 2024, the projections are even more promising, with a growth rate forecasted at 5.5%. These figures reflect a burgeoning economy, supported by prudent economic policies and rigorous public finance management.

A Call to Mobilization

In light of these undeniable successes, it is imperative for the people of Burkina Faso to express their support for the continuation of this positive momentum. The massive mobilization in front of the Ouaga 2000 Banquet Hall on May 25th is crucial to show the world that Burkina Faso stands united behind its leader.

The call for a ten-year extension of the transition led by Captain Ibrahim Traoré is not only justified but necessary. It would allow the consolidation of achievements, the continuation of economic reforms, and the guarantee of long-term security and stability.

President Ibrahim Traoré is undeniably a blessing for the Burkinabe people. His ability to transform challenges into opportunities and to lead the country towards a prosperous future deserves to be supported. Burkina Faso is on the path to an era of unprecedented growth and stability, and it is our duty to come together to ensure the continuity of this positive trajectory.
