Burkina Faso/ Colonel zoungrana urged trough a speech, the entire nation to find a way out of the currently situation of insecurity before 2024.

The minister of security of Burkina Faso, Colonel Boukaré Zoungrana delivered a speech on Monday during a national flag-raising ceremony within his department. Indeed, with a sense of determination and optimism, he talked to his constituents and the entire nation in the following terms: «2023 is the pivotal year, the decisive year for (the fight against) terrorism on Burkinabe soil… We will achieve victory because we have no choice». He delivered his speech in the presence of the ministry’s personnel and a delegation from the School of Administration and Magistracy who joined the ceremony.

«We will achieve victory because Burkina Faso will always stand firm, no matter the difficulties… (…) We will achieve victory because we have faith that Burkina Faso has a future, and that future is in our hands. There is no possibility that this situation of insecurity will persist beyond the year 2023», promises Minister Zoungrana.

He continues by saying at the strength of his conviction «We have the ability to bring peace, because many of our sons have risen up against the Republic and we know that many have heard the calls, many will return, and together, we can build Burkina Faso». «What is being committed will be decisive to renew peace in Burkina Faso. And I say it again, it’s 2023. We cannot allow ourselves the possibility of going into 2024 with this situation»

The Minister of Security’s speech comes at a time when the army is on the offensive in the field. Some images of Burkinabe army’s air strikes prove it. According to the national Television, these strikes killed a dozen of terrorists and destroyed command posts of armed groups.
