Burkina Faso/Combating terrorism: New logistical and combat equipment, President Ibrahim TRAORE keeps his promise
The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ, has always promised to continue equipping the national army to make it a powerful and unmatched force in the West African sub-region. This significant batch of logistical and combat equipment confirms the Burkinabe head of state’s determination to enhance the capabilities of his army, for a more effective fight against armed terrorist groups.
In the face of an ever-growing threat from the nation’s enemies who are trying to rebuild the weakened terrorist groups in order to spread chaos in the country of honest men and in other member countries of the AES Confederation, it is urgent for the brave fighters to accelerate and intensify operations on the battlefield. This is the only way to decisively overcome these criminals and their accomplices.
President Ibrahim TRAORÉ’s commitment to further strengthening the operational capacity of the fighters thus revitalizes their determination, ensuring a certain and effective final victory. As part of his plan to equip the army, the head of state, with the tireless support of the Burkinabe people, has invested heavily to achieve these objectives.
“I officially hand you the keys to this logistical and combat equipment. Take this material as a year-end gift from the people to their army and intensify the war”, declared the President of Faso as he handed over the keys to the Minister of Defense and Veterans this Monday, December 23. This reflects the efforts made by the authorities and the Burkinabe people in the fight against terrorism.
