Burkina Faso/Combating terrorism: President Ibrahim TRAORE can always count on the support of his compatriots in Barsalogho
On Tuesday, December 10, President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ, had a very busy agenda in the municipality of Barsalogho. In addition to his speech delivered on the occasion of Burkina Faso’s Independence Day and his meeting with the local combat units, the Head of State also met with the traditional leader of Barsalogho, Chief Naaba Giguemdé.
Many citizens of Barsalogho mobilized in large numbers to welcome the Head of State as a sign of recognition and support. Along with the community leader, the topic of the fight against terrorism was discussed, with a particular focus on resilience and the effective contribution of the local population to this war. The Chief of Barsalogho expressed his satisfaction with the efforts made by the country’s authorities for a more effective struggle.
He praised the commitment, determination of the Head of State, and the bravery of the fighters who help maintain security in the region and reclaim Burkinabe territory despite adversity. He also reaffirmed his support and that of the population for the President of Faso. Furthermore, he called for unity and fraternity between different ethnic groups to accelerate the fight against terrorists.
These are the social values promoted by the President of the Republic to effectively achieve the objectives and realize the deepest aspirations of Burkinabe citizens. The contribution of every citizen is therefore indispensable.
