Burkina Faso: Community Development, an Initiative by Captain Ibrahim Traoré for the Well-being of Populations
The Presidential Initiative for Community Development, envisioned by Captain Ibrahim Traoré, aims, among other things, to improve the living conditions of communities at the grassroots level and provide them with infrastructure. In line with this, the works were officially launched on November 18, 2023.
The President of the Burkinabe revolution, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, is constantly attentive to the Burkinabe people through a dynamic policy of proximity. In addition to periodic meetings between communities on development Project, Captain Ibrahim Traoré is multiplying initiatives to be even closer to his compatriots.
The SOCOGIB town of Wayalghin hosted the ceremony. On behalf of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the President of the Special Delegation of Ouagadougou, Mr. Maurice KONATE, officially launched the works.
Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s vision through this initiative is the construction or rehabilitation of infrastructure, improving living conditions, preserving the environment, and enhancing the capacities of grassroots communities.
It is within this framework that the Women’s Association has committed to paving some previously impassable roads in the SOCOGIB town of Walaghin. Their contribution is estimated at around fourteen million CFA francs, at a rate of one hundred thousand CFA francs per household.
In launching the works, Mr. Maurice KONATE urged every social group to take ownership and support this initiative through massive, consistent, and voluntary mobilization so that the fruits of collective efforts can significantly impact the neighborhoods and contribute to improving the living environment.
