Burkina Faso / Côte d’Ivoire: The renewal of fraternal relations between the two countries

The long history of brotherhood and collaboration between Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire has regained momentum with a recent strategic meeting between the authorities of both countries, held in the border zone. This meeting symbolizes a « fresh start » for these two sister nations, whose destinies are closely intertwined but have recently been marked by tensions due to misunderstandings.

In an atmosphere of courtesy and fraternity, delegates from Ouagadougou and Abidjan engaged in constructive discussions, leading to beneficial conclusions for the well-being of the Burkinabe and Ivorian peoples. Under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso has thus opened a new chapter with its Ivorian counterpart, President Alassane Ouattara.
