Burkina Faso/Defense : Burkinabe taxpayers can be pleased with the impact of their efforts

It is always encouraging, satisfying, and motivating for a taxpayer to see that their contribution has been put to good use for their country. In the case of the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP) established by the Burkinabe  authorities, the tangible results of donations have been evident since fear shifted on the battlefield.

This has encouraged generous donors, the Burkinabe people in general, to sacrifice even more for the achievement of security goals. For instance, the strategic plan for equipping the national armed forces, initiated by the transitional president, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, is gradually realizing its objectives, thanks to the donations and continuous contributions from the people of Burkina Faso.

The reception of a new batch of military equipment, handed over on Friday, January 12th, to the Ministry of Defense by the head of state, is just one part of the outcomes resulting from the contribution of Burkinabè citizens. These citizens, proud daughters and sons of the land of the upright people, have understood that only they can finance their war against terrorists.

According to the Burkinabe Minister of Defense, Brigadier General Kassoum COULIBALY, the acquisition of this batch of equipment is the first of a series of five planned under the strategic plan for the Army’s equipment. This serves to enhance the military logistics of the combat forces for the decisive phase of the fight against terrorism.

According to information, the remaining four batches are expected in the coming months. The sacrifice of the Burkinabe people is not in vain, and they can rejoice in the results. This sacrifice is still being called upon to create acceptable living conditions for the Volunteer Defense Forces (VDP) who defend the country and their compatriots alongside the Armed Forces.
