The Burkinabe government is placing digital technology at the heart of its socioeconomic development plan, fully aware of its key role in improving public services. In this regard, the executive unveiled its project to connect 130 new public structures to the National Administration Network (RESINA). This announcement was made by Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo during his general policy statement on December 27, 2024, before the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT).

This project aims to enhance the efficiency of public administrations and bring citizens closer to public services through modern digital infrastructure. The interconnection will allow for smoother, faster, and more transparent management of public affairs while paving the way for a more accessible and connected administration.

RESINA, the cornerstone of the country’s transformation, is part of an ambitious vision for digital governance. Although the implementation timeline has not yet been revealed, this initiative reflects the authorities’ commitment to accelerating the modernization of public institutions and fostering digital inclusion for all.

By leveraging this initiative, Burkina Faso aims to position itself as a model of digital transformation in West Africa, using technology to serve development and administrative transparency.
