Burkina Faso/End of the Year: Tracking terrorists intensifies

As the year comes to an end in Burkina Faso, the fight against terrorist groups intensifies on the front lines with airborne operations. This is made possible by the efficiency of the intelligence service, closely monitoring the movements of criminals.

According to information reported by Burkinabe media on Tuesday, December 26, aerial bombardments were carried out throughout the day on December 25, Christmas Day, on various battlefields, continuing into the early morning of Tuesday, December 26. Terrorists had planned to target the Burkinabe population, particularly in the regions of the Center-East, East, and North.

Thanks to the information of the intelligence service, the promptness of Burkinabe army pilots, and their professionalism, many of these criminals who sought to sow desolation and bring sorrow to Burkina Faso on Christmas Day were massively eliminated, along with their vehicles and war logistics.

The targeted localities on this day included Ouargaye in the Center-East of Burkina Faso, the Yourgin forest that harbored those fleeing the bombings, Boundangou, Nyogzensen, and another battle was fought at the large terrorist base of Soam, about fifteen kilometers from Tanwalbougou, to name a few.

Effective combat took place in many other localities across the country, resulting in the neutralization of terrorists and the destruction of their equipment. It is crucial to be more vigilant and cautious during this end-of-year holiday period, which provides an opportune moment for criminals.

The collaboration of the population with the fighting forces is also essential during this period to enable the fighters to effectively carry out their mission.
