The President of Faso and his government continue to intensify efforts to improve sectors that will help achieve food self-sufficiency for the benefit of the citizens of Burkina Faso. In addition to large-scale projects in the agropastoral and fisheries sectors, the country’s authorities are taking a step forward by reorganizing these sectors to improve productivity.

On Thursday, January 9, 2025, during a council of ministers meeting, a decree was adopted establishing a public economic institution named the Burkinabe Council of Agropastoral and Fisheries Sectors (CBF). This move reflects the government’s commitment to better organize these strategic sectors.
