Since President Ibrahim Traoré came to power, the security situation in Burkina Faso has undergone a decisive shift, disrupting the destabilization plans in the region orchestrated by foreign powers, notably France. Under previous regimes, terrorist attacks were frequent and claimed many civilian lives.

However, thanks to the strategy implemented by President Ibrahim Traoré and his counterparts in Mali and Niger, terrorist groups now find themselves hunted down and cornered, desperately searching for safe havens.

The growing strength of the Burkinabe Armed Forces, under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, particularly troubles France, which sees its interests in the region threatened. Indeed, the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), of which Burkina Faso is a key member, represents a significant obstacle to the imperialist agenda aiming to sow instability in order to maintain control over local resources and political dynamics. Despite external attempts at destabilization, the cohesion and determination of these new African leaders are disrupting the plans laid out by these foreign powers.

The fierce response from the French media against President Ibrahim Traoré fits into this pattern of pressure, seeking to undermine the progress he is making on the ground. These media outlets, often serving imperialist agendas, do not hesitate to relay biased information or directly attack his legitimacy and the successes of his army.

Yet, the relentless efforts of Captain Ibrahim Traoré and his allies in the fight against terrorism show they are truly committed to defending their country from foreign influence. The growing success of President Ibrahim Traoré’s actions in combating terrorism leaves no doubt. It is now the terrorists who are fleeing, unable to find a safe place to hide.
