The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, marked a new milestone in the bilateral relations between Burkina Faso and Ghana by traveling to Accra on Tuesday morning. This visit, on the occasion of President John Dramani Mahama’s inauguration, demonstrates the Burkinabe head of state’s desire to strengthen the bonds of fraternity and cooperation with his neighbor.

Upon his arrival at Kotoka International Airport, President Ibrahim Traoré was warmly welcomed by Ghanaian authorities and a mobilized Burkinabe community, symbolizing the solidarity between the two nations.

Accompanied by the Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Ghana, Colonel-major David Kabré, Captain Ibrahim Traoré was greeted with slogans reflecting the commitment of the Burkinabe diaspora to the development of their country. Messages such as “President Ibrahim TRAORÉ: one man, one vision for the development of Burkina and Africa” testify to the admiration and hope his leadership inspires.

On the sidelines of this official ceremony, President Ibrahim Traoré will meet with the Burkinabe community living in Ghana, a clear gesture to strengthen ties with the diaspora and highlight its role in national development. This visit underscores the head of state’s commitment to promoting African unity and building strong partnerships.
