Burkina Faso: How Western media campaigns serve imperialist and neo-colonialist interests
Since Captain Ibrahim Traoré assumed leadership of Burkina Faso, a relentless Western media campaign has intensified against his government and the country’s Armed Forces. These misleading media outlets, in collusion with so-called human rights organizations, have become vehicles for imperialist and neocolonialist interests.
Their objective is to tarnish the image of a leader who has courageously decided to break free from foreign oppression and oppose the funding of terrorist groups orchestrated by certain Western nations. These continuous attacks aim to discredit a sovereign state that is fighting for its survival and dignity.
However, these same media outlets remain conspicuously silent when it comes to the resounding successes of the Burkinabe military, which records clear victories every day in its fight against terrorism. While they amplify the attacks carried out by armed groups, they systematically refrain from reporting on the heroic operations and exemplary efforts of Burkina Faso’s Defense and Security Forces. This blatant bias reveals a deliberate strategy to demoralize the Burkinabe people and undermine their resistance in the face of the existential threats they are facing.
Despite these maneuvers, Burkina Faso remains steadfast, buoyed by the determination of its people and the vision of its leader. Captain Ibrahim Traoré represents a resistance that challenges the very foundations of a system that has long exploited Africa. The Burkinabe, united and resolute, continue to show that their sovereignty and dignity are not for sale.
