Burkina Faso/Instability: “The enemy neither sleeps nor rest, constant vigilance is necessary” (Pan-Africanist Chafia CHOUCHEN)

Tunisian Pan-Africanist Chafia CHOUCHEN, a prominent figure in the Pan-African movement, offers comfort to the Burkinabe people in particular and to the people of the Sahel in general, calling for greater vigilance and determination. She made this statement in response to media alerts regarding destabilization plots orchestrated against the regime of Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ and his counterparts in the AES Confederation.

These alerts were later confirmed with the seizure of 5 billion CFA francs intended to bribe the perpetrators of a plot to assassinate the President of Faso, as well as the arrest of a DGSE spy in Niger last week. When she states, “The enemy neither sleeps nor rests, constant vigilance is necessary,” it is to draw attention to the persistence and resilience of imperialism and neo-colonialism in Africa.

According to the Tunisian Pan-Africanist, the enemy, determined to see the downfall of the three revolutionary regimes in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, is not ready to give up. It is therefore up to the people of these countries, particularly the people of Burkina Faso, to remain vigilant, united, and engaged. President Ibrahim TRAORÉ, according to information, is said to be the primary target of the DGSE, which has been reportedly tasked with implementing destabilization plans.

The Pan-Africanist  Chafia CHOUCHEN claims that the DGSE has already begun its mission with spies stationed in these countries or neighboring ones, in complicity with political exiles and local collaborators who have grown accustomed to the former system of governance. Today, Pan-Africanists, especially those supporting revolutionary countries, are facing threats and persecution due to their devotion and commitment.

However, this is neither the time nor the reason to give up, as the enemies would like. Their goal, according to some opinions, is to weaken the mobilization behind the leaders of the AES. She therefore encourages the people who are passionate about total sovereignty and real freedom to continue the struggle with determination and resilience in order to thwart the enemy’s plans as well.
