Burkina Faso: Intelligence services foiled a major destabilizing plot to assassinate captain Ibrahim Traoré
According to information from corroborating sources, French mercenaries from the Foreign Legion with dark skin, who had been granted African nationalities, were introduced into the capital of Burkina Faso to assassinate the President of the Transition.
For several weeks, even before the National Assemblies, Burkinabe intelligence services had been on the trail. Exiled Burkinabe were enlisted to contribute to the success of the plot. Some were responsible for communication, to make the national and international opinion believe that things were not going well in the country of honest men.
Others suggested that Captain Ibrahim Traoré was injured, and some even claimed he was on the run. Following this, the French media played their role in validating the false communication.
The authorities of Burkina Faso, having been informed in advance, took all necessary measures to thwart the plot. According to information close to the power in Ouagadougou, the rocket firing incident was intentionally carried out to foil the plot. This information is confirmed by the media frenzy surrounding the incident.
From French media to the communicators of the enemies of the transition, all believed that the shell firing was indeed part of the plot and that Captain Ibrahim Traoré had been injured or even killed. Without receiving feedback from the operatives stationed in the Burkinabe capital to end Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s life, the communicators and the media played their roles fully by engaging in offensive communication once the plot was underway.
In conclusion, the Burkinabe authorities, as part of a broader strategy, thwarted a major plot prepared by France and some countries in the sub-region.
