Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo officially launched the national digital payment platform FASO ARZEKA on Thursday, January 30, 2025. This initiative, led by the Ministry of Economy and Finance through the Directorate General of the Treasury and Public Accounting (DGTCP), marks a major step forward in modernizing the collection of public revenues.

FASO ARZEKA was designed to provide citizens and businesses with a simple, fast, and secure way to make payments to public administration, local governments, and public institutions. With this platform, transactions become more transparent and efficient, thus reducing risks associated with cash handling and payment delays.

By aligning with the digitalization of public services, this initiative also contributes to improving the country’s financial governance. It allows for better revenue tracking and promotes financial inclusion by making digital services more accessible to the entire population.

The Burkinabe government sees FASO ARZEKA as a strategic tool to strengthen the mobilization of internal resources and optimize the management of public finances. Its deployment is part of a broader vision to modernize and digitize administrative services for a more efficient and connected Burkina Faso.
