Burkina Faso: Lieutenant-Colonel Kouagri NATAMA carries out his duties with dignity
The new head of the national gendarmerie plays a significant role in the gradually improving security atmosphere in Burkina Faso. Under the leadership of Lieutenant-Colonel Kouagri NATAMA, the national gendarmerie is enjoying increasing trust from the population.
Since taking office last October, Lieutenant Colonel Kouagri NATAMA has taken commendable initiatives to effectively combat insecurity, which align perfectly with President Ibrahim Traoré’s vision of ensuring security for all Burkinabés.
Lieutenant-Colonel Kouagri NATAMA has reiterated his consistent availability alongside authorities to continue the collective fight against terrorism.
He has reinforced his unit’s commitment to the struggle to reclaim national territory, working alongside the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), Volunteer Defense Committees (VDP), and resilient populations across the entire territory.
With the aim of protecting people and their property, operations against drug trafficking, fuel smuggling, and all other forms of trafficking have been launched.
Simultaneous operations conducted by the departmental gendarmerie groups of Fada and Tenkodogo led to the arrest of 288 individuals complicit with criminals, including 09 minors. These individuals were discreetly engaging in exchanges with terrorists.
The determination of the head of the national gendarmerie is a source of pride for the Burkinabé population and receives praise from observers for his bravery on various operational fronts.
