H.E. Mrs. Olivia ROUAMBA, continues the plea for substantial support to enable Burkina Faso to complete its transition in the best conditions and within the allotted time. Wherever she goes, the diplomat always presents the national situation first, with particular emphasis on the positive points, a sign of the commitment of the highest authorities of the Burkinabe transition to move towards the normalization of political life. before listing the panoplies of challenges that the country is strongly confronted with and that require support from its partners to be met. Among these challenges is the difficult security and humanitarian situation. The Minister requests the African Union to carry out a mission to Burkina Faso to assess the situation on the ground and provide adequate support to the populations and the ongoing transition process. The expertise of Mrs. ROUAMBA, has led many partners to express their willingness to work to mobilize the necessary material and financial resources and to find solutions in the humanitarian context in order to relieve the populations affected by terrorist attacks.Ms. Olivia ROUAMBA, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad of Burkina Faso, called for continued FAO’s support given the high number of displaced people in the country, particularly in rural areas, the impact of the climate crisis and the high prevalence of food insecurity.
She also stressed the need to increase local food production while noting that South-South and triangular cooperation could contribute to this, not to mention small-scale producers. H.E. Olivia ROUAMBA, does not want to betray the trust placed in her and therefore betray the Burkinabe people who aspire to good governance. The diplomat refuses to be a traitor and asks her collaborators to selflessly accomplish the mission assigned to them. Because for her, the time is neither laziness nor let go and even less the desire to sabotage the momentum to do well.
