Burkina Faso/National security: Captain Ibrahim Traoré on the front line against terrorism

The President of the Burkinabe revolution Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has prioritized national security. He is committed to modernizing the capabilities of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) by providing them with state-of-the-art equipment, such as more sophisticated weapons, armored vehicles, and advanced communication devices for better coordination on the ground.

Surveillance drones are also being deployed to enhance intelligence and anticipate the movements of armed groups. In parallel, Captain Traoré has emphasized the ongoing training of soldiers and officers, in partnership with military experts, to prepare them for the new asymmetric combat tactics used by terrorists.

These efforts aim to ensure a rapid response force capable of intervening precisely in the most sensitive areas. Additionally, President Ibrahim Traoré promotes an inclusive security approach that involves local communities through initiatives like the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP).

This network of mobilized citizens supports the FDS in gathering information on terrorist activities, thereby strengthening collaboration between civilians and the military.

The objective is clear: to secure the territorial integrity of Burkina Faso, restore the trust of displaced populations, and foster a return to stability in regions affected by insecurity. Through these initiatives, Captain Ibrahim Traoré aims to provide the Burkinabé people with an environment conducive to peace and sustainable development.
