She received in audience, the Regional Director of Central and West Africa of the United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF. Mrs. Marie Pierre POIRIER came to show UNICEF’s solidarity in Faso in the face of the security and humanitarian pressures it is undergoing.
H.E. Mrs. Olivia ROUAMBA thanked the regional head of UNICEF for the clear support for the country. She argued that “internally displaced people, most of whom are women and children, really need assistance to survive with dignity. UNICEF’s support for the efforts of the government of Burkina is therefore heartening.”
