Burkina Faso: Organizations unanimously support the Transition, an inevitable extension

Several associations and movements committed to the cause of the homeland have expressed their support for the transition during press conferences held ahead of the national meetings scheduled for May 25 and 26, 2024. Among these organizations are the Association The Truth or Nothing and the Front of Defense for the Homeland.

These two civil society organizations share a common goal: the extension of the transition period to 10 years or more. This extension is necessary to consolidate democratic advances and to implement essential reforms to ensure the stability and sustainable development of Burkina Faso.

Their support for the transition aims to guarantee a peaceful and inclusive process that meets the aspirations of the Burkinabe people. The diverse population of Burkina Faso has placed its trust in Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the head of the transition.

They hope that this transitional period will yield tangible results, particularly in terms of security and complete independence. For many, the transition represents a historic opportunity to strengthen democratic institutions and promote inclusive economic and social development.

This mobilization reflects the citizens’ commitment to a prosperous, peaceful, and democratic Burkina Faso. The upcoming national meetings are a significant step in this process, providing a platform for dialogue and consultation among various stakeholders in Burkinabe society.

It is through open and constructive dialogue that national challenges can be overcome, and sustainable solutions can be found for the well-being of all Burkinabe.
