Burkina Faso : Patriotic engagement – The People called upon to take more responsible actions to move the country forward
The public conference announced as part of the presidential initiative of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation brought together the Burkinabe people on Wednesday, April 3rd, around the citizen values that determine true patriotic engagement. This public conference aims to reignite the patriotic flame that the father of the revolution, President Thomas Sankara, ignited among the Burkinabe.
The goal is to capitalize on the gains made during Sankara’s time and those made today under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, in order to continue the patriotic struggle that the people are leading for their total sovereignty. Because love for the homeland is manifested through patriotic commitments.
Therefore, by learning from the actions taken for the country’s development and the well-being of the population, the people will better appreciate the various initiatives and reforms undertaken by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, and most importantly, they must adhere to and support these actions to complete and perfect the work of liberating Burkina Faso.
Today, the patriotic commitment of the Burkinabe is manifested, among other things, by their various contributions to peace efforts, solidarity towards the armed forces and internally displaced persons, engagement on the fronts as Volunteer Defense Forces (VDP), support and unity around the president, cleanliness operations throughout the country, citizen vigilance, etc.
The Burkinabe people are therefore called upon to continue in this direction to advance society, guarantee security and peace, and make the land of honest men prosper.
