Burkina Faso/ Peace effort : Significant contribution from the Diaspora, the Head of State’s appeal continues to have a favorable echo

Burkinabe citizens both inside and outside the country continue to show their solidarity with the needy and support the efforts of the authorities in the relentless fight against terrorism. They mobilize daily through donations in kind and space, responding to the call of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, for a collective mobilization to meet the challenges.
In this dynamic, Burkinabe citizens residing in Togo, China, and the American city of New Jersey have raised a sum of 63,329,600 FCFA for the Patriotic Support Fund. According to details provided by AIB, Burkinabe citizens from Togo contributed a check of 44,128,000 FCFA, those from China raised 15,106,600 FCFA, and Burkinabe citizens in New Jersey donated 8 tons of rice, valued at 4 million FCFA, for the benefit of internally displaced persons in Kaya.
This is a way for them to contribute to the building of a peaceful, secure, and prosperous nation. In order to continue the fight and achieve the goals set by the authorities for the benefit of citizens, the duration of the Patriotic Support Fund has been extended by one year.
As a reminder, this fund, sourced from contributions by all Burkinabe citizens, is primarily intended to improve the working and living conditions of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and to acquire more war equipment to intensify military operations against the criminals in the bush.
