Burkina Faso/ President Ibrahim Traoré transforms Burkina Faso: RN4 modernization works launched
President I. Traoré has demonstrated an exceptional vision for infrastructure development in Burkina Faso, and this has once again come to fruition with the official launch of work to expand and modernize the RN4, east exit of Ouagadougou. The Prime Minister, Me Apollinaire Joachimson KYELEM of TAMBELA, chaired this ceremony on September 30, 2023, under the high patronage of the President of the transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE.
The primary objective of this ambitious initiative is to decongest, streamline and secure the movement of citizens through the development and modernization of the main arteries of the various cities of Burkina Faso. This fits perfectly with the development strategy of the transport sector of the government of President Ibrahim Traoré.
The expansion and modernisation of the RN4, Ouagadougou’s eastern exit, will play a crucial role in ensuring a fast and direct link between the city centre and the eastern suburbs of the capital, such as Dassasgho, Wayalghin, Bendogo, Nioko 1, Saaba, Barogo, Gampela, among others. This improved transport infrastructure will also help to improve safety around the Thomas SANKARA University, reduce traffic accidents and minimize time lost due to traffic jams.
In addition to this important initiative, several other works were launched that day for the well-being and satisfaction of the population. President I. Traoré demonstrates his commitment to improving the living conditions of Burkinabe through infrastructure development, putting the country on the path to progress and prosperity.
