Burkina Faso : President Ibrahim Traoré and the Fighting Forces fight the war against terrorism with determination

In a demonstration of his unwavering commitment to combat terrorism, President Ibrahim Traoré has once again proven that his words translate into concrete actions. The Combat Forces under his leadership have achieved a series of significant victories, relentlessly tracking and decimating terrorists threatening the stability of the region.

The most recent operations took place in the area of the three borders, where the localities of Mordaaga (Pissila) and Bokuy (Djibasso) were liberated from the hands of terrorists. The precise and sustained strikes from the Burkinabè army fleet were crucial for these successes.

Cornered by aerial forces for the past 48 hours, terrorists attempted desperate escapes to evade their inevitable fate. In a futile attempt to repair a damaged vehicle on the Boulkessi road in Mali, the criminals faced a devastating strike that annihilated their escape plans.

A column of terrorists, caught off guard, made a desperate attempt to flee to the Central-North region on January 15, 2024. However, the determination of the Combat Forces left no chance for the criminals. Aerial forces successfully targeted the Mordaaga woods near the municipality of Pissila, effectively eliminating the remnants of the terrorist column.

This series of operations is not limited to the three borders area, as the Burkinabè army fleet also conducted actions in the Boucle du Mouhoun on January 16, 2024. A terrorist base was discovered in the Bokuy area, 12 km from Djibasso. The terrorists, careless in their daily activities, became the target of a devastating aerial attack.

The fugitives were pursued, emphasizing President Traoré’s and his Combat Forces’ clear message : « Lay down your arms or perish. There will be no hiding place or escape ». President Ibrahim Traoré’s determination and his Combat Forces’ commitment attest to an unwavering engagement in the fight against terrorism, demonstrating that words translate into meaningful actions on the ground.
