Burkina Faso: President Ibrahim Traoré develops Faso through major projects and makes good governance his battle horse

President Ibrahim Traoré is firmly committed to promoting the security, economic, and social sovereignty of Burkina Faso. His vision and effective leadership have facilitated the implementation of an endogenous development policy, focused on utilizing local resources and creating wealth within the country.

Among his notable achievements is the establishment of a tomato processing plant in Bobo-Dioulasso, which transforms raw materials into value-added products. This initiative not only generates jobs but also provides additional income for local farmers.

Additionally, the creation of a mixed-economy company specializing in the production of military and paramilitary uniforms leverages locally produced cotton, thereby strengthening Burkina Faso’s textile industry.

President Traoré also launched Golden Hand, a factory dedicated to processing mining residues, and established a gold refinery. These industrial projects are essential for maximizing the benefits of national mining activities and reducing dependency on the export of raw materials.

In the agricultural sector, the Presidential Initiative for Agriculture has cultivated 14.725 hectares for the 2023-2024 wet season, aiming for a production of nearly 190.000 tons of cereals, vegetables, and tubers. This initiative contributes to the country’s food security and self-sufficiency.

Moreover, President Traoré initiated the Presidential Initiative for Community Development and promoted popular shareholding for inclusive and endogenous development. These programs aim to further involve citizens in the development process and ensure a fair distribution of economic benefits.

In parallel, he is waging a determined fight against corruption and absenteeism in public administration, striving to clean up the environment and establish transparent and effective governance.

Through these initiatives and his vision, President Ibrahim Traoré is working towards the emergence of a prosperous and sovereign Burkina Faso, where local resources are valued, and development is inclusive and sustainable.
