This first trip of the Head of State in the City of Bafuji is an opportunity for President Ibrahim TRAORE to share, with the populations of the region, his vision of a Burkina Faso devoid of terrorism.
The exchanges with the Forces vives of the region are an opportunity for the President of the Transition to explain the current issues of our country, to provide answers to the concerns of the vital forces of the Region and above all to call on all Burkinabè to keep high the flame of the common commitment against terrorism. Also, the Head of State exchanged with the different socio-professional layers of the Southwest.
The stay of the President of the Transition in the Southwest region is mainly marked by the laying of the foundation stone of the Regional Hospital Center (CHR) University of Gaoua. With a capacity of more than 300 beds, the construction of this CHRU reflects the commitment of the Transition authorities to improve access to health care for the populations of the region.
This regional hospital should make it possible to relieve the current center that welcomes patients from Bougouriba, Ioba, Noumbiel and Poni, not to mention those of neighboring countries such as Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. The new CHRU will be a crucible for academic training and research and development in health.
