Burkina Faso: President Ibrahim Traoré listens to the people and responds decisively to concerns about Stadium of 4 Août
President Ibrahim Traoré, always attentive to the deep aspirations of his people, has taken decisive steps to address the issues related to the Stadium of 4 Août, a national symbol of Burkinabe sports.
During the Council of Ministers meeting, the decision was made to renew the pitch and the athletics track, essential elements that were not included in the current contracts, as pointed out by the Minister of Sports, Roland Somda. These works will also include the acquisition of modern equipment to ensure effective maintenance of the pitch, with a total cost of 4.37 billion CFA francs and a completion time of six months.
At the same time, the Head of State emphasized the need to investigate irregularities related to the initial renovation of the stadium, which began in 2021 but did not meet current standards. This directive aims to clarify responsibilities and strengthen transparency in the management of public projects.
This initiative once again shows that President Traoré puts the Burkinabe people at the heart of his priorities, addressing their concerns quickly while ensuring the quality and sustainability of national infrastructure.
