BURKINA FASO: PRESIDENT IBRAHIM TRAORÉ TRAVELS TO GAOUA (SOUTH-WEST) THIS WEDNESDAY

According to official sources, the President of the revolution, Captain Ibrahim Traoré made this Wednesday for the first time a trip to Bafuji, department of Gaoua (South West region). During this two-day visit, the Head of State will discuss with the vital forces of the region on the security issue but above all build them on his vision of a Burkina Faso of peace and free from the terrorist hydra, and also to lay the first stone for the construction

President Ibrahim Traoré meets with the people of Gaoua. On the menu of this first visit to the City of Bafuji, discussions with the population of the municipality. It will be a matter of explaining the current issues of the country. In a friendly atmosphere, the Region’s vital forces will have the freedom to express their various concerns.

For his part, the Head of State will provide answers to these concerns, before calling on both sides to remain determined in this common fight against terrorism.

According to the same source, the visit will also be an opportunity to receive in audience the different socio-professional layers of the region. Then, Captain Traoré, will proceed with the laying of the first stone for the construction of the Regional Hospital Center (CHR) University of Gaoua, which will be in charge of decongesting the current health center that welcomes patients of Bougouriba, Ioba, Noumbiel and Poni, and also those from Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.

The Hospital Center is planned to have a capacity of 300 beds, and at the same time constitute an institution of academic training and research and development in health. The project to build this CHRU is part of the Transition Government’s drive to improve access to health care for all.
