Burkina Faso/Reclaiming the land: Is terrorism on the way out in the land of men of integrity?

The presence of terrorist groups in Burkina Faso, could it now be a story to tell to young children and future generations? Apparently, Ibrahim Traoré’s transition seems to be making progress.

There have been no reports of terrorist attacks for nearly a year, no more videos of terrorists celebrating after massacres. They are now cornered and weakened by Burkinabe fighters to the extent that they can no longer move freely.

The only way for survivors to continue living is to lay down their weapons and flee. Otherwise, they will all be neutralized in a short time at this rate of war.

Furthermore, most of the areas previously occupied by criminals, approximately 99%, have already been reclaimed, and the resettlement of populations in their lands is ongoing. All this within a year of struggle under Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s transition.

Recently, the defense and security forces launched an offensive operation in the central part of the country. The operation known as Koulpélgo II aimed notably to clear a province for the resettlement of populations.

A high-tension power line sabotaged by terrorists has been repaired, bringing electricity and clean water back to the locality. The repair operation at the power site was reportedly carried out by forces from the national army, national and communal volunteer defense groups, and the commando action group.

Other operations to regain territory and resettle displaced populations are ongoing in Burkina Faso.
