Burkina Faso/Security: The National Armed Forces remain committed and determined

The Burkinabe National Army celebrated the 64th anniversary of its establishment last weekend with various activities focused on strengthening ties between military personnel and civilians for a freer and more sovereign nation. Activities included cleanliness operations, a popular cross-country race, and ceremonies honoring distinguished individuals. All these events took place in a spirit of fraternity between the military and the civilian population across several localities in the country.

This suggests that the armed forces and the civilian population prioritize the common good and demonstrate through their actions a strong desire to unite their efforts to defend their homeland. On this occasion, the authorities responsible for defense and security, along with military leadership, reaffirmed their commitment and determination to restore peace and security throughout the national territory.

This is a renewal of their commitment to serve the motherland loyally and with dignity, aligning with the vision of the country’s highest authorities, which is to free Burkina Faso from its enemies to ensure effective development and prosperity for all its citizens. Some believe that the stance of the national armed forces should serve as an example for those who, whether out of ignorance or intention, work to keep Burkina Faso under imperialist and neocolonial domination.

Building a new Burkina Faso based on unity and harmony is one of the deep aspirations of the country’s authorities, led by President Captain Ibrahim Traoré, who is dedicated to reviving the patriotic spirit that was once marred by the schemes of enemies aiming to divide a people that shares the same identity, history, and culture.
