Burkina Faso/Territorial re-conquest: In Banwa, fighting forces mark their territory
The brave and resilient Burkinabe fighters operating in the Banwa province, in the Boucle du Mouhoun region, have sent a strong message to the bush enemies who, by choice or force, continue their criminal actions. After the heavy defeat they inflicted on these fighters on Wednesday, November 5, those who managed to escape are now fully aware of the unwavering determination of the country’s sons and daughters.
Several terrorists were neutralized, weapons and other combat materials were recovered, and a hideout destroyed. According to reliable sources, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and the self-defense group of the Banwa dealt a heavy blow to their enemies once again, particularly in Priwé and Daboura. This operation highlights their steadfast commitment to reclaiming the country’s entire territory.
Motivated and continuously inspired by their leadership, the highest authorities of the country, and the various forms of support from their fellow citizens, the fighters are more committed than ever and increasingly active on the battlefield, working towards the liberation of their territory. Many would argue that the strategic approach and patriotic engagement championed by the country’s top leadership are bearing fruit in abundance, paving the way for peace and stability.
The resilience and perseverance of all Burkinabe citizens in this collective fight against terrorists and their sponsors will soon lead to the swift achievement of security objectives, creating a solid foundation for an effective commitment to the country’s development.
