Burkina Faso / Territory Reconquest : Administrative Authorities of the Center-East Region reaffirm their commitment
The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, granted an audience on Thursday, March 7, 2024, to the administrative authorities of the Center-East region. The discussions focused mainly on their role in the fight against terrorism.
During his visit to the Center-East region, the President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, received the heads of administrative districts. The discussions centered on the role of the community in the fight against terrorism.
On this issue, the Head of State emphasized that it is the administrative authorities who must « organize the populations on the ground as part of the fight against terrorism ».
According to Constantin DABIRE, the High Commissioner of the Boulgou province and spokesperson for the delegation, their « role is truly to approach the population and to do everything possible to enable them to protect themselves and others ».
He also reaffirmed the commitment of the heads of administrative districts to always support « the work initiated by the President of the Transition to continue in this direction with the defense and security forces but also with the population, which should be the driving force of the fight ».
Captain Ibrahim TRAORE subsequently met with the defense and security forces of the Center-East region, continuing efforts to strengthen the fight against terrorism.
In the afternoon of the same day, a delegation of representatives from religious authorities of the Center-East region and a delegation of customary leaders, authorized by the Dima of Zoungratenga, Naaba Guigem-Pollé, was received by the President of the transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
According to Pastor Elie ZALLE, regional president of the Assemblies of God churches of Burkina and spokesperson for the delegation, this audience was an opportunity for religious leaders to express their support for the Head of State and reaffirm their commitment to supporting the actions of the Transition.
« This visit touches us deeply. It will further inspire us to move forward, to support the authorities of the Transition in the battle we are engaged in », asserted the head of the delegation.
On his part, the spokesperson for the customary leaders, the Chief of Dimtenga, praised the commitment of the President of the Transition to bringing peace back to our country. « We prayed to God and implored our ancestors to accompany him so that our country truly lives up to its name of Burkina Faso, which means the land of upright people because where there is integrity, you will never fail », supported the Chief of Dimtenga.
The representatives of the Dima of Zoungrantenga then expressed their gratitude to the Head of State for all the actions he has undertaken for Burkina Faso.
