Burkina Faso: the armed forces are rising

Formerly considered to be in an inferior position against the progression of terrorist groups, the armed forces have regained strength under Captain Ibrahim Traoré. It has recently been revealed that the “weakness” observed in regular troops was due to the reluctance of previous authorities, who perhaps due to a lack of strategy, had not provided soldiers with adequate means to fight the enemy. The latter then took advantage of the situation to gain ground.

The events of September 30th made us realize that Burkina has the necessary forces to defeat the terrorist threat. « We have our own Wagner, they are the VDP that we recruit», said the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

Convinced that strengthening intelligence, as well as increasing personnel and logistical resources, is also necessary to gain the upper hand over the enemy, the President of the MPSR wasted no time. In addition to reorganizing the military for better territorial coverage and more effective security and protection of the population and their property, among other strong actions, Captain Traoré immediately launched the recruitment of patriotic volunteers Engaged as auxiliaries to the armed forces, these volunteers play a significant role in the war effort.

The collaboration between FDS and VDP has brought a new dimension to the battle for the restoration of peace and stability.

The results of this fruitful collaboration have restored the people of Burkina Faso’s assurance of an upcoming end to the tunnel. The people continue to show their gratitude and support not only to the fighters but also to the transitional government that trusted the worthy sons and daughters of the country to face the security challenge together.
